CTP- Computer to Plate Imaging
We have the ability with our Thermal CTP (computer-to-plate) system to image punched printing plates directly from our digital files once the final proof has been approved. Plates are punched with the "Bacher" system and are set up to optimize make-ready time on the press. Both conventional and stochastic screening are available upon request.
This step is a similar process to imaging film, but has the value added component of saving on film costs. As the film step is skipped altogether, it is imperative that all proofs are checked thoroughly before outputting commences.
The imaging of our CTP plates is imposed to your printers specifications.
Alternatively, you may opt to have print ready PDF files either imposed or as single pages supplied to your printer. They can be sent via FTP for direct input into their CTP device or sent on CD/DVD.
